Job Description

Are you a creative and detail-oriented individual with a passion for fashion? Soma Intimates is seeking an Assistant Artist to join our talented team of designers and artists. In this role, you will support our lead artist in creating visually stunning designs for our intimate apparel collections. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for design, strong technical skills, and a positive attitude.   1. Collaborate with the lead artist to create visually appealing designs for intimate apparel collections.
  2. Use strong technical skills to bring designs to life through various mediums such as sketching, digital design, and illustration.
  3. Conduct thorough research on current fashion trends and incorporate them into designs.
  4. Assist in developing concept boards and presentations for design ideas.
  5. Ensure all designs align with the brand's aesthetic and target audience.
  6. Work closely with the production team to ensure designs are feasible for manufacturing.
  7. Attend brainstorming and team meetings to contribute ideas and provide feedback.
  8. Keep up-to-date with industry trends, techniques, and technology to continuously improve skills.
  9. Manage and organize design files and assets.
  10. Maintain a positive attitude and adapt to changes in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  11. Meet deadlines and manage time efficiently to support the lead artist and meet project timelines.
  12. Take initiative and show creativity in problem-solving and finding solutions.
  13. Provide support for any other design-related tasks as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Artistic Skills: The Assistant Artist Should Possess A Strong Foundation In Traditional Art Techniques Such As Drawing, Painting, And Illustration, As Well As Digital Skills Such As Adobe Creative Suite.

  • Knowledge Of Fashion And Retail Industry: Familiarity With The Fashion And Retail Industry, Particularly In The Intimates Category, Is Essential For An Assistant Artist At Soma Intimates. This Includes An Understanding Of Current Trends, Color Theory, And Garment Construction.

  • Attention To Detail: As An Assistant Artist, Attention To Detail Is Crucial When Creating And Editing Designs, As Well As Communicating With The Design Team. This Includes Accuracy In Color, Scale, And Placement Of Artwork.
