
Supervisory Government Information Specialist
We are seeking an experienced, self-motivated and detail-oriented Supervisory Government Information Specialist to join our team at the Social Security Administration. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the administrative, management and technical operations of the Office of Public Inquiries (OPI). To be successful in this position, you must have a strong knowledge of the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and related regulations, as well as excellent supervisory and communication skills. Responsibilities:
- Ensure that the Office of Public Inquiries (OPI) operates in accordance with the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) and related regulations.
- Develop and implement administrative, management, and technical protocols to ensure compliance with FOIA regulations.
- Train and supervise staff in the execution of their duties related to FOIA regulations.
- Monitor and evaluate staff performance and provide feedback as appropriate.
- Maintain and update documentation related to FOIA regulations and OPI operations.
- Respond to public inquiries regarding FOIA regulations and OPI operations.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance the public's understanding of FOIA regulations and OPI operations.
- Analyze and interpret FOIA regulations and adjust OPI operations accordingly.
- Collaborate with other government agencies to coordinate and optimize OPI operations.
- Ensure that OPI operations are conducted in a cost-effective and efficient manner.
Advanced Aptitude In Managing Databases
