Job Description

The Social Security Administration is looking for a highly qualified Deputy Associate Commissioner for Personnel to join our team. This position requires a dynamic leader with the qualifications, skills and motivation to lead our dedicated staff. The Deputy Associate Commissioner for Personnel will have the overall responsibility for personnel operations, including developing and administering personnel policies and programs. To be successful in this position, applicants must have a bachelor's degree in human resources or a related field and at least five years of experience in personnel management and/or administration. We are looking for a professional who is organized, detail-oriented, and can take initiative in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to develop and maintain strong working relationships with colleagues, staff, and other stakeholders.   • Handle employee inquiries and complaints
  • Develop and implement employee recognition and rewards programs

  • Develop and manage budgets related to personnel operations
  • Conduct recruitment and hiring processes
