
Deputy Associate Commissioner for Disability Policy
We are looking for an experienced leader to join our team as Deputy Associate Commissioner for Disability Policy at the Social Security Administration (SSA). In this role, you will be at the helm of a critical office, responsible for providing oversight and guidance on disability policy and programs. Responsibilities:
• Oversee and provide guidance on SSA disability policy and programs. • Shape the future of disability policy and shape the lives of those who rely on SSA disability programs. • Lead teams and manage resources. • Develop and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders. • Ensure all disability policy and programs are in compliance with the mission of the SSA and applicable laws and regulations. • Provide direction and support to staff in the implementation of disability policy and programs. • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders. • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of disability policy and programs. • Develop and implement strategies to improve the lives of people with disabilities. • Provide training and professional development for staff.
