Procurement Specialist

Responsibilities:

1. Execute all procurement processes, systems, and methods in compliance with SoCalGas regulations and procedures.
2. Monitor and manage the procurement process to ensure that all procurement activities are conducted in a timely and cost-effective manner.
3. Research potential suppliers and negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions as needed.
4. Create, review, and approve purchase orders.
5. Ensure that all procured goods and services meet SoCalGas specifications.
6. Track and manage the delivery of goods and services.
7. Maintain and update the supplier database.
8. Monitor the performance of suppliers and assess their ability to meet SoCalGas’s needs.
9. Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
10. Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities and transactions.
11. Troubleshoot and resolve any procurement-related issues.
12. Develop and implement strategies to reduce procurement costs.
13. Participate in team meetings and provide input on procurement matters.
14. Travel to various locations as needed.
