Job Description

We at SoCalGas are seeking an experienced and highly organized Master Meter Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter with a proven track record of delivering successful projects within the utility industry, as well as a passion for customer service. The Master Meter Project Manager will be responsible for leading all aspects of the meter installation process and ensuring the highest level of safety, accuracy, and efficiency for the project. To be successful in this role, you must have excellent communication and organizational skills and a deep understanding of the utility industry and meter installation process. A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related field is required. Additionally, you should have a minimum of 5 years of project management experience in the utility industry, along with an understanding of construction methodologies and safety regulations. Experience with CAD software is a plus. Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee the meter installation process from start to finish, ensuring accuracy, safety, and efficiency.
  2. Lead project team to meet project goals and deadlines.
  3. Develop project plans and communicate project updates to stakeholders.
  4. Develop and monitor budgets for all projects.
  5. Develop and maintain relationships with internal and external partners.
  6. Monitor project progress and provide direction to adjust course as needed.
  7. Ensure safety standards are met and enforced.
  8. Keep up to date on industry trends and regulations.
  9. Generate reports to track and analyze project performance.
  10. Utilize CAD software to create plans and drawings.
