Human Resources Generalist

We are looking for a passionate and experienced Human Resources Generalist to join our SoCalGas team. The ideal candidate for this role will have a dynamic skill set and strong knowledge of HR processes. If you are an organized and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment, we’d love to hear from you!The Human Resources Generalist will be responsible for a variety of duties, including but not limited to: maintaining employee records, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and providing advice and support to employees. The successful candidate will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field and at least 3 years of experience in a Human Resources role. In addition, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Knowledge of HR software and the ability to multitask and prioritize effectively will be highly valued.

Responsibilities of a Human Resources Generalist:

1. Maintain employee records, including onboarding documents, payroll information, and performance evaluations.
2. Develop and implement effective HR policies and procedures.
3. Provide advice and support to employees on a variety of HR matters.
4. Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
5. Monitor changes in labor laws and regulations and make appropriate updates to policies and procedures.
6. Communicate with management on employee issues and concerns.
7. Support the recruitment and selection process.
8. Administer benefits programs and monitor employee participation.
9. Conduct employee training sessions and workshops.
10. Prepare reports and analyze data related to HR activities.
11. Utilize HR software to manage employee data and documents.
12. Maintain a high level of confidentiality in all HR matters.
13. Manage employee relations and resolve conflicts.
