Job Description

We are seeking an experienced GIS Specialist to join the SoCalGas team! As a GIS Specialist, you will be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting GIS services and systems.The ideal candidate for this role is an innovative problem solver who is able to think critically and create solutions to complex GIS issues. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to work independently or as part of a team.To be successful in this role, you must have a Bachelor's degree in GIS, Computer Science, or a related field, and at least three years of experience in GIS-related fields. Knowledge and experience with GIS software such as ArcGIS and ESRI is also required.If you are looking for an opportunity to join a dynamic and passionate team where you can make an impact, then this role is for you!

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop, maintain, and support GIS services and systems.
  2. Utilize GIS software such as ArcGIS and ESRI to create solutions to complex GIS issues.
  3. Provide critical thinking in order to problem solve and create solutions to complex GIS issues.
  4. Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
  5. Work independently or as part of a team as needed.
  6. Provide support and guidance to other members of the GIS team.
  7. Keep up to date with industry trends and best practices related to GIS.
  8. Utilize acquired knowledge and experience in GIS-related fields to develop and maintain effective GIS services and systems.
