SoCalGas is seeking a motivated and experienced Gas Controller to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in gas operations and be comfortable working in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.The Gas Controller will be responsible for ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our gas delivery systems. This includes monitoring, controlling, and scheduling the delivery of gas, and responding to operational issues. The position requires someone who is detail-oriented, a problem-solver, and an excellent communicator.The successful candidate should possess:• A Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field• At least 3 years of experience in gas operations• Knowledge of gas transmission and storage systems• Expertise in gas regulation and compliance• The ability to work independently and in a team environment• Strong computer and communication skills.
Responsibilities of the Gas Controller:
- Monitor, control, and schedule the delivery of gas in order to meet Southern California’s energy needs.
- Respond to and resolve operational issues.
- Ensure compliance with gas regulations.
- Maintain and update computer and communication systems as needed.
- Analyze data and make decisions based on findings.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet goals and objectives.
- Provide timely and accurate reports on gas operations.
- Ensure safe and efficient operation of gas delivery systems.
- Manage and maintain accurate records of gas operations.
- Remain up-to-date on industry news and regulations.
