Job Description

At SoCalGas, we are looking for an experienced Environmental Specialist to join our team. We are seeking an individual who is passionate about environmental protection and sustainability. The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of environmental regulations and experience in conducting environmental assessments.The Environmental Specialist will be responsible for developing, managing, and implementing environmental programs and activities, including conducting environmental assessments. The successful candidate will also be a key player in developing and executing strategies to support sustainability initiatives.We are looking for someone who is highly organized and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and be able to work effectively with colleagues from all levels of the organization.The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, or a related field, and at least 3-5 years of experience in an environmental role. Knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements is essential. An advanced degree and/or professional certification in environmental management is a plus.

Responsibilities:

-Develop, manage, and implement environmental programs and activities that are compliant with environmental regulations -Conduct environmental assessments and create reports on findings -Develop and execute strategies to support sustainability initiatives -Manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines -Communicate and collaborate with colleagues from all levels of the organization -Provide guidance and support on environmental issues -Stay up-to-date with environmental regulations and compliance requirements -Perform other duties as assigned
