Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Energy Auditor to join the SoCalGas team. The Energy Auditor will be responsible for conducting energy audits for commercial, residential, and industrial customers to identify opportunities to save energy and money. This role requires a detail-oriented and organized individual who is passionate about helping customers achieve their sustainability goals.The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor’s degree in engineering, environmental science, or related discipline, and at least two years of experience working in an energy auditing capacity. Knowledge of energy utilization and building systems is also required, as well as excellent verbal and written communication skills. The successful candidate will be a self-motivated problem solver with the ability to work both independently and in a team environment. If you have a passion for helping customers identify energy-saving opportunities and reducing their overall energy use, then this role could be the perfect fit.

Responsibilities:

  1. Conduct energy audits for commercial, residential, and industrial customers to identify opportunities to save energy and money.
  2. Provide technical advice to customers on energy-saving and sustainability initiatives.
  3. Analyze energy utilization and building systems to identify potential energy savings.
  4. Monitor customer energy usage and performance to identify areas of improvement.
  5. Develop energy efficiency strategies and recommend cost-effective solutions to customers.
  6. Prepare reports and present audit findings to customers.
  7. Research and stay up-to-date on relevant energy initiatives and regulations.
  8. Assist with the development and implementation of energy efficiency programs.
  9. Participate in customer meetings to discuss energy efficiency opportunities.
  10. Work with other departments to identify potential cost savings and energy efficiency improvements.
