SoCalGas is looking for an outstanding Communications Specialist to join our team. With strong writing and communication skills, the Communications Specialist will help us bring our corporate brand to life and reach our stakeholders in a meaningful and impactful way. The ideal candidate should have a passion for strategic communications and a strong understanding of public relations best practices.We are looking for an individual who takes initiative, is creative, and brings a unique perspective to the team. The successful candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, journalism, or a related field, along with 5+ years of experience in corporate communications. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, combined with the ability to think strategically and develop creative solutions, are essential. The Communications Specialist must also be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement communications strategies to engage stakeholders in meaningful and impactful ways

3. Create and manage content for all communications channels, including media releases, website, email campaigns, social media, and more
4. Monitor and evaluate the success of communications campaigns and adjust strategies accordingly
5. Develop relationships with media outlets and other external partners
6. Manage multiple projects simultaneously and work effectively in a fast-paced environment
7. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in public relations and communications
8. Collaborate with stakeholders across the organization to ensure effective communication of corporate messages
