  1. Develop and implement effective content moderation strategies to create a safe and positive online community for millions of Snapchat users.
  2. Monitor and analyze user-generated content to identify potential risks and issues.
  3. Work closely with cross-functional teams to establish and maintain content moderation policies and guidelines.
  4. Lead and manage a team of content moderators to ensure timely and accurate moderation of user-generated content.
  5. Continuously improve and optimize moderation processes and tools to enhance the user experience.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices related to content moderation and implement them within the organization.
  7. Collaborate with legal and policy teams to ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
  8. Provide guidance and support to other teams, such as customer support and engineering, on content moderation related issues.
  9. Proactively identify and address potential escalation issues and handle them in a timely and efficient manner.
  10. Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and vendors related to content moderation.
  11. Communicate moderation policies and guidelines to users and respond to user inquiries or concerns regarding content moderation.
  12. Use data and user feedback to inform decision making and enhance content moderation strategies.
  13. Conduct regular training and development sessions for the content moderation team to ensure a high level of efficiency and effectiveness.
  14. Serve as a thought leader and advocate for creating a safe and inclusive online community.

  • Strong Understanding Of Social Media Platforms And Content Moderation Policies: A Product Manager For Content Moderation At Snapchat Should Have A Comprehensive Understanding Of The Different Social Media Platforms And Their Unique Content Moderation Policies. This Knowledge Will Help Them Develop Effective Moderation Strategies For Snapchat's Platform.

  • Experience In Content Moderation And Safety: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Prior Experience In A Content Moderation Or Safety Role, Preferably At A Social Media Company. This Experience Will Demonstrate Their Ability To Successfully Manage And Moderate Large Volumes Of User-Generated Content.

The Candidate Should Possess Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills To Effectively Identify And Address These Issues.

  • Strong Communication And Collaboration Skills: Since The Role Involves Working With Cross-Functional Teams, The Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication And Collaboration Skills. This Will Enable Them To Effectively Communicate Moderation Policies And Collaborate With Other Teams To Ensure A Seamless User Experience.

  • Familiarity With Legal And Regulatory Requirements: As A Product Manager For Content Moderation, It Is Important To Be Familiar With Legal And Regulatory Requirements Related To Content Moderation. This Knowledge Will Help Ensure That Snapchat's Moderation Policies Are Compliant With Relevant Laws And Regulations.
