In this role, you will play a critical role in ensuring our employees are supported and our business is compliant with all leave policies and regulations.   1. Oversee all aspects of the employee leaves of absence program, including but not limited to FMLA, state and local leave laws, and company-specific policies.
  2. Develop and maintain policies and procedures related to leaves of absence, ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
  3. Train and educate managers and HR partners on leave of absence processes and procedures.
  4. Serve as the main point of contact for all employee leave inquiries, providing guidance and support to employees and managers.
  5. Manage the leave of absence process from start to finish, including initial employee communication, leave tracking, and return-to-work coordination.
  6. Conduct thorough and timely reviews of all leave requests, including medical certifications and supporting documentation.
  7. Collaborate with cross-functional teams, such as legal, benefits, and payroll, to ensure a seamless and efficient leave process.
  8. Monitor and report on leave of absence trends and metrics, identifying areas for improvement and proposing solutions.
  9. Stay up-to-date on all new and updated leave laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
  10. Lead a team of LOA specialists, providing guidance, training, and development opportunities.
  11. Communicate with third-party administrators and other external partners to ensure effective management of leaves of absence.
  12. Maintain accurate and confidential employee leave records.
  13. Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
  14. Effectively communicate and collaborate with employees at all levels of the organization.
  15. Proactively identify and resolve any issues or concerns related to leaves of absence.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge And Experience In Managing Large-Scale Leave Of Absence Programs Globally - A Lead Loa Program Manager At Snapchat Must Have A Strong Understanding Of All Aspects Of Leave Management, Including Federal And State Laws, Company Policies, And Best Practices. This Knowledge Should Extend To Different Countries And Their Respective Leave Requirements, As Snapchat Has A Global Presence.

  • Proven Track Record Of Successful Program Management - The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have A Solid Track Record Of Effectively Managing Leave Programs In A Fast-Paced And Dynamic Environment. They Should Be Able To Demonstrate Their Ability To Handle A High Volume Of Leave Requests While Ensuring Compliance And Maintaining A High Level Of Customer Service.

  • Strong Leadership And Team Management Skills - As A Lead Program Manager, This Individual Will Be Responsible For Overseeing A Team Of Leave Specialists And Coordinators. They Should Have Previous Experience In Leading And Developing A Team, As Well As Managing Their Workload And Performance.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills - The Lead Loa Program Manager Will Interact With Employees, Managers, And External Vendors On A Daily Basis. They Must Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Handle Sensitive Situations And Build Relationships With Stakeholders.

  • Ability To Identify And Implement Process Improvements - Snapchat Is A Rapidly Growing Company, And The Lead Loa Program Manager Should Be Able To Identify Areas For Improvement Within The Leave Process And Implement Changes To Increase Efficiency And Effectiveness. This Requires Someone Who Is Proactive, Analytical, And Has A Strong Attention To Detail.
