Job Description

Lead strategy, execution, and end results of the “Snappy Engineering” (Internal Applications) team at Snap and enable robust internal applications to support cross functional business partners including our People, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Engineering teams. Develop organizational-level goals, drive the technical and organizational roadmap for the engineering team while collaborating on the product and business on strategies. Collaborate with and influence HR, Sales, Marketing, Legal, Privacy, and partner Engineering teams such as Infrastructure, IT and Developer Tools. Build an execution machine, iterate quickly without compromising quality, and raise the bar on operational excellence. Own key decisions on architecture and implementation of scalable, reliable, and cost-effective engineering. Build and grow a team of exceptional software engineers, technical program managers and technical leaders.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 5+ years of management experience.

  • Track record of building, growing, and mentoring high performing large teams.

  • Experience with internal apps development and operating large-scale tooling that affects internal customers

  • Experience managing 30+ engineers and experience with managing managers and complex cross-functional dependencies.

  • Experience (10+ years) working on well-recognized consumer products influencing the life of hundreds of millions of users.
