  1. Collect and analyze data from various sources to identify trends and patterns.
  2. Develop and maintain data pipelines and databases for efficient and accurate data retrieval.
  3. Create and maintain data visualizations and dashboards to present insights to cross-functional teams.
  4. Collaborate with teams across the company to understand their data needs and provide actionable insights.
  5. Identify and troubleshoot data quality issues to ensure accuracy and reliability of data.
  6. Communicate complex data findings and insights in a clear and concise manner.
  7. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in data analysis and recommend new tools and techniques to improve data analysis processes.
  8. Work closely with engineering teams to ensure data is collected and stored in a structured and efficient manner.
  9. Develop and maintain documentation for data processes and procedures.
  10. Identify opportunities for process improvements and automation to increase efficiency and scalability.
  11. Work on ad-hoc data projects as needed to support various business initiatives.
  12. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and track key performance indicators and metrics.
  13. Ensure compliance with data privacy and security policies and regulations.
  14. Mentor and train junior team members on data analysis and engineering best practices.
  15. Contribute to a positive and collaborative team culture, promoting innovation and continuous learning.

Job Qualifications

  • Strong Technical Skills: A Business Intelligence Engineer At Snapchat Should Possess Strong Technical Skills In Areas Such As Data Modeling, Sql, And Programming Languages Like Python Or Java. They Should Also Be Proficient In Using Data Visualization Tools Like Tableau Or Power Bi.

  • Experience With Data Warehousing And Etl Processes: A Qualified Candidate Should Have Experience In Designing And Maintaining Data Warehouses, As Well As Working With Etl (Extract, Transform, Load) Processes To Ensure Data Accuracy And Consistency.

  • Communication And Collaboration Skills: Communication And Collaboration Are Essential For A Business Intelligence Engineer To Effectively Work With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Data Scientists, Business Analysts, And Stakeholders. They Should Be Able To Present Complex Data In A Clear And Concise Manner To Non-Technical Audiences. Strong Interpersonal Skills Are Also Necessary To Build Relationships And Partnerships With Key Stakeholders.
