  1. Operate and maintain technical equipment and systems in the Sports Broadcast Operations Center.
  2. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth and uninterrupted sports programming.
  3. Collaborate with producers, directors, and other team members to deliver high-quality broadcasts.
  4. Monitor and adjust audio and video levels, quality, and timing to ensure optimal broadcast standards.
  5. Prepare and organize equipment for live on-air broadcasts and pre-recorded segments.
  6. Keep up-to-date with the latest technology and equipment in the broadcasting industry.
  7. Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and safety protocols.
  8. Maintain accurate records of equipment usage, maintenance, and repairs.
  9. Assist in the training and development of new technicians.
  10. Participate in special projects and initiatives to improve operations and efficiency.
  11. Communicate with other departments and external partners to coordinate technical aspects of sports broadcasts.
  12. Remain calm and efficient in high-pressure situations, such as during live broadcasts or technical difficulties.
  13. Ensure compliance with FCC regulations and guidelines.
  14. Continuously look for ways to improve and enhance the overall quality of sports programming.
  15. Maintain a positive and professional attitude at all times, representing the company's values and brand.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Broadcast Production Equipment: A Technician, Sports Broadcast Operations Center Must Have A Thorough Understanding Of All Broadcast Production Equipment, Including Cameras, Microphones, Mixers, And Editing Software.

  • Proficiency In Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving: This Role Requires The Ability To Quickly Identify And Resolve Technical Issues That May Arise During Live Broadcasts. A Technician Must Be Able To Think On Their Feet And Find Solutions Under Pressure.

  • Familiarity With Sports Production: Experience In Live Sports Production Is A Must For This Role. The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Sports Broadcasting Techniques And Be Able To Adapt To The Fast-Paced Nature Of Live Events.

  • Strong Communication Skills: As A Member Of The Broadcast Team, A Technician, Sports Broadcast Operations Center Must Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Producers, Directors, And On-Air Talent. Clear And Concise Communication Is Essential For A Successful Broadcast.

  • Attention To Detail: From Setting Up Equipment To Troubleshooting Technical Issues, A Technician Must Pay Close Attention To Every Detail To Ensure A Seamless Broadcast. They Must Also Have A Keen Eye For Potential Problems And Be Able To Anticipate And Prevent Them Before They Occur.
