  1. Oversee technical operations for sports broadcast programming.
  2. Monitor and maintain audio and video equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a timely manner.
  4. Collaborate with production team to ensure seamless execution of sports broadcasts.
  5. Stay updated on the latest broadcast technology and make recommendations for equipment upgrades or improvements.
  6. Adhere to strict broadcast standards and regulations.
  7. Keep accurate records of technical issues and resolutions.
  8. Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians.
  9. Ensure the quality and consistency of broadcast audio and video.
  10. Communicate effectively with team members and other departments to coordinate technical needs for live broadcasts.
  11. Participate in planning and execution of special events and remote broadcasts.
  12. Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  13. Adhere to strict deadlines and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  14. Execute emergency protocols in the event of technical failures.

Job Qualifications

  • Knowledge Of Broadcast Equipment: A Qualified Technician For A Sports Broadcast Operations Center At Sirius Xm Radio Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Broadcast Equipment, Including Audio And Video Consoles, Control Room Systems, And Transmission Equipment.

  • Technical Troubleshooting Skills: In A Fast-Paced Broadcast Environment, Technicians Must Be Able To Quickly Identify And Resolve Technical Issues To Ensure Smooth And Uninterrupted Broadcasts. The Ability To Troubleshoot And Problem-Solve Effectively Is A Crucial Qualification For This Role.

  • Understanding Of Sports Broadcasting: As A Technician For A Sports Broadcast Operations Center, It Is Essential To Have An Understanding Of The Unique Requirements And Technical Aspects Of Sports Broadcasting. This Includes Knowledge Of Camera Placement, Audio Mixing For Live Events, And Graphic Overlays.

  • Experience With Live Events: Sirius Xm Radio Broadcasts Live Sporting Events, So Experience Working On Live Broadcasts Is A Valuable Qualification For This Role. Technicians Should Be Comfortable Working In A High-Pressure, Live Production Setting And Be Able To Adapt Quickly To Last-Minute Changes And Challenges.

  • Attention To Detail: In A Live Broadcast Setting, Every Detail Matters. Technicians Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Ensure The Quality And Accuracy Of The Broadcast. This Includes Monitoring Audio Levels, Checking For Video And Audio Sync, And Ensuring All Graphics And Overlays Are Correct And Up To Date.
