Sirius XM Radio is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer with a deep understanding of Atlassian tools to join our dynamic team. As a key member of our technology department, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our Atlassian infrastructure to support our business needs. We are looking for someone who is not only technically proficient, but also possesses strong communication and leadership skills to collaborate with cross-functional teams and drive successful outcomes.   1. Design and implement Atlassian infrastructure to support business needs.
  2. Maintain and optimize existing Atlassian tools and systems.
  3. Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to Atlassian products.
  4. Stay up-to-date with the latest updates and features of Atlassian tools and make recommendations for their implementation.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and provide solutions using Atlassian products.
  6. Lead and mentor junior team members on Atlassian best practices and processes.
  7. Develop and maintain documentation and user guides for Atlassian tools and systems.
  8. Monitor and ensure the security, availability, and performance of Atlassian infrastructure.
  9. Work with vendors and external partners to implement new Atlassian tools and integrate them with existing systems.
  10. Participate in on-call rotation and provide support for critical issues related to Atlassian tools.
  11. Continuously identify and implement process improvements to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of Atlassian systems.
  12. Communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  13. Act as a subject matter expert for Atlassian tools and provide guidance and recommendations for their usage.
  14. Participate in project planning and execution related to Atlassian infrastructure.
  15. Adhere to company policies, procedures, and standards related to Atlassian systems and tools.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience With Atlassian Tools: An Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Atlassian Products Such As Jira, Confluence, And Bitbucket. They Should Have Hands-On Experience With Implementing And Customizing These Tools To Meet The Organization's Specific Needs.

  • Strong Technical Background: A Senior Systems Engineer Should Have A Strong Background In System Administration, Infrastructure Management, And Software Development. They Should Be Proficient In Scripting Languages Such As Python, Bash, Or Perl And Have A Good Understanding Of Networking Concepts.

  • Project Management Skills: This Role Requires The Candidate To Lead Projects Related To Atlassian Tools And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams. Therefore, The Candidate Should Have Excellent Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Define Project Scope, Create Project Plans, And Manage Resources Effectively.

  • Atlassian Certifications: Having Atlassian Certifications, Such As Jira Administrator, Confluence Administrator, Or Agile Development With Jira Software, Is A Plus For This Role. These Certifications Demonstrate A Candidate's Expertise And Commitment To Continuously Learning And Improving Their Skills.

  • Strong Problem-Solving And Communication Skills: As A Senior Systems Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Troubleshooting And Resolving Complex Technical Issues Related To Atlassian Tools. They Should Also Be Able To Communicate Effectively With Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders And Explain Technical Concepts In A Clear And Concise Manner.
