  1. Lead the design and architecture of radio broadcast systems for Sirius XM Radio.
  2. Oversee the efficient and smooth operation of radio broadcasts, troubleshooting and resolving any technical issues that may arise.
  3. Develop and implement new technologies and systems to improve the overall broadcast experience for listeners.
  4. Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments in broadcast engineering to ensure Sirius XM Radio remains at the forefront of the industry.
  5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful integration of broadcast systems with other departments and processes.
  6. Communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels, including management, to provide updates on projects and seek input and feedback.
  7. Manage and mentor a team of engineers, providing guidance and support to help them grow and excel in their roles.
  8. Develop and maintain standard operating procedures and best practices for broadcast engineering.
  9. Conduct regular audits and performance evaluations of broadcast systems to identify areas for improvement and implement necessary changes.
  10. Ensure compliance with regulatory standards and guidelines for radio broadcasting.
  11. Participate in strategic planning and budgeting for broadcast engineering projects.
  12. Maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers to negotiate contracts and manage equipment purchases and maintenance.
  13. Continuously evaluate and recommend new equipment, tools, and technologies that can enhance the overall broadcast experience for listeners.
  14. Collaborate with other departments, such as programming and marketing, to develop and implement innovative ideas and initiatives for radio broadcasts.
  15. Represent Sirius XM Radio at industry events and conferences to network and stay updated on industry developments and advancements.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Or Master's Degree In Electrical Engineering, Broadcast Engineering, Or A Related Field.

  • Minimum Of 7 Years Of Experience In Broadcast Architecture, Including Design, Implementation, And Maintenance Of Complex Systems.

  • Proficiency In Industry Standard Software And Programming Languages Used In Broadcast Engineering, Such As Matlab, C++, And Java.

  • Strong Understanding Of Fcc Regulations And Compliance Requirements For Radio Broadcasting.

  • Excellent Leadership And Communication Skills, With The Ability To Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams And Mentor Junior Engineers.
