- Oversee and maintain all broadcast engineering equipment, including satellite uplink/downlink systems, audio processing equipment, and transmission systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during live broadcasts or pre-recorded shows.
- Monitor and maintain the quality of audio and video signals, ensuring they meet company standards and FCC regulations.
- Collaborate with other departments and teams, such as programming, production, and IT, to ensure seamless integration of technology and smooth operation of broadcast systems.
- Stay current on industry trends and advancements in broadcast technology, making recommendations for upgrades or improvements to enhance the overall broadcast experience for listeners.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the maintenance and operation of all broadcast equipment.
- Conduct regular maintenance and testing of all broadcast equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimize downtime.
- Assist in the planning and execution of special projects, events, and promotions that require technical support.
- Train and mentor junior engineers and technicians, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
- Remain on-call for emergency situations and provide support as needed to ensure uninterrupted broadcast operations.
Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Experience In Broadcast Engineering.
Strong Knowledge Of Industry Standards And Regulations, Including Fcc Rules And Regulations.
Proficient In Troubleshooting And Repairing Broadcast Equipment, Including Audio Consoles, Transmitters, And Studio Equipment.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced, Dynamic Environment.
