- Maintain and troubleshoot broadcast equipment and systems to ensure uninterrupted on-air broadcasts.
- Monitor and respond to technical issues in a timely manner to minimize downtime and maintain high-quality broadcasts.
- Collaborate with other engineers and technical staff to implement new systems and upgrades.
- Perform regular maintenance, repairs, and upgrades on broadcast equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Keep detailed records of maintenance and repair activities, as well as equipment inventory.
- Stay up-to-date with industry developments and advancements in broadcast technology.
- Train and support other staff members on the use and maintenance of broadcast equipment.
- Work closely with content producers and on-air talent to ensure high-quality audio and video content.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures for working with broadcast equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized broadcast engineering workspace.
- Communicate effectively with management and other departments to report any technical issues and provide solutions.
- Conduct research and make recommendations for equipment and system upgrades to improve efficiency and quality.
- Collaborate with outside vendors and contractors as needed for repairs and installations.
- Perform regular tests and checks to ensure compliance with FCC regulations.
- Continuously strive to improve processes and procedures to enhance overall broadcast quality and efficiency.
Bachelor's Degree In Electrical Engineering Or Related Field.
Minimum Of 3 Years Of Experience In Broadcast Engineering, Preferably In Radio.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Broadcast Equipment, Including Transmitters, Audio Consoles, And Signal Processing Equipment.
Experience With Digital Audio Systems And Streaming Technologies.
Strong Troubleshooting And Problem-Solving Skills, With The Ability To Quickly Identify And Resolve Technical Issues.
