
Associate Producer – Sports Programming, PGA TOUR Radio - Part-Time

- Assist in the production of high-quality sports programming for PGA TOUR Radio.
- Work closely with the production team to develop and execute creative ideas for golf-related content.
- Conduct thorough research on golf-related topics and provide relevant information for on-air discussions and segments.
- Assist in coordinating and booking guests for interviews and segments.
- Collaborate with on-air talent to ensure smooth and engaging show flow.
- Edit and produce audio content, including interviews, highlights, and segments.
- Monitor and update social media platforms to engage with listeners and promote show content.
- Stay up-to-date with current events and news in the world of golf to contribute to timely and relevant discussions.
- Generate creative concepts and pitches for new show ideas and segments.
- Help maintain a professional and organized production schedule.
- Assist with technical operations such as setting up and troubleshooting equipment.
- Adhere to company policies and procedures, including FCC regulations.
- Continuously seek opportunities for personal and professional growth within the company.
- Attend relevant industry events and network with industry professionals to stay informed and connected.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Senior Producer or Program Director.
Strong Knowledge And Passion For Golf And The Pga Tour: The Ideal Candidate For This Position Should Have A Deep Understanding Of The Sport Of Golf, Including Its History, Players, And Current Trends. They Should Also Be Familiar With The Pga Tour And Its Various Events.
Excellent Communication And Organizational Skills: As An Associate Producer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Coordinating And Producing Live Programming For Sirius Xm Radio. This Requires Strong Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal, As Well As The Ability To Multitask And Stay Organized.
Experience In Radio Or Sports Broadcasting: Previous Experience In Radio Or Sports Broadcasting Is Highly Desirable For This Role. The Candidate Should Have A Solid Understanding Of Audio Production And Editing, As Well As Experience Conducting Interviews And Creating Compelling Content For Sports Programming.
Ability To Work Flexible Hours And Adapt To A Fast-Paced Environment: This Position Will Require Working Evenings, Weekends, And Holidays In Order To Cover Live Events And Programming. The Candidate Should Be Able To Work Well Under Pressure And Adapt To Last-Minute Changes In The Programming Schedule.
Bachelor's Degree In A Related Field: While Not Always Required, A Bachelor's Degree In Journalism, Communications, Or A Related Field Can Be Beneficial For This Position. It Shows A Level Of Dedication And Commitment To The Industry And Can Provide Valuable Skills And Knowledge That Will Be Useful In This Role.
