- Set clear expectations and goals for the welding team and provide guidance and support to achieve them.
- Train and develop team members on welding techniques, safety protocols, and company policies.

Extensive Welding Experience: A Light Rail Weld Group Lead At Siemens Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Welding Experience, Preferably In A Rail Or Transportation Industry. They Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Various Welding Techniques And Be Able To Read And Interpret Welding Drawings And Specifications.
Leadership Skills: The Weld Group Lead Should Have Strong Leadership Skills And Be Able To Effectively Manage A Team Of Welders. They Should Be Able To Delegate Tasks, Provide Clear Instructions, And Motivate Team Members To Achieve Production Goals.
Knowledge Of Welding Standards And Regulations: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Welding Standards And Regulations, Such As Aws D1.1, En Iso 3834, And En 15085. They Should Also Be Familiar With Relevant Codes And Standards For Rail And Transportation Industries, Such As En 50126, En 50128, And En 50129.
Quality Control And Inspection Experience: The Weld Group Lead Should Have Experience In Quality Control And Inspection Processes, Including Non-Destructive Testing (Ndt), Visual Inspection, And Dimensional Verification. They Should Be Able To Ensure That All Welding Activities Meet The Required Quality Standards And Specifications.
Communication And Teamwork Skills: Working In A Fast-Paced Environment, The Weld Group Lead Should Have Excellent Communication And Teamwork Skills. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Team Members, Managers, And Other Stakeholders, And Collaborate With Other Departments To Achieve Project Goals.
