  1. Install and commission High Voltage Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) systems for clients.
  2. Ensure proper functioning and operation of GIS systems post-installation.
  3. Conduct thorough inspections and tests to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
  4. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical issues that may arise during installation and commissioning.
  5. Collaborate with project managers and other team members to develop installation plans and schedules.
  6. Provide technical expertise and support to clients during the installation and commissioning process.
  7. Adhere to all company and industry guidelines and regulations for installation and commissioning.
  8. Maintain accurate documentation and records of installation and commissioning activities.
  9. Continuously seek opportunities for improvement and optimization in installation and commissioning processes.
  10. Keep up-to-date with advancements and developments in the field of HV GIS systems.
  11. Represent Siemens in a professional and positive manner to clients and stakeholders.
  12. Travel to client sites for installation and commissioning projects as needed.

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum Of 5 Years Experience In Hv Gis Installation And Commissioning: Candidates Should Possess A Strong Background In High Voltage Gas-Insulated Switchgear (Gis) Installation And Commissioning, With At Least 5 Years Of Relevant Experience.

  • Proficiency In Electrical Engineering Principles And Practices: A Thorough Understanding Of Electrical Engineering Principles And Practices Is Essential For This Role. This Includes Knowledge Of Power Systems, Protection Schemes, And Control Systems.

  • Familiarity With Siemens Gis Products: As A Leading Manufacturer Of Gis Equipment, Siemens Expects Candidates To Be Familiar With Their Product Line And Have Experience In Installing And Commissioning Their Equipment.

  • Ability To Read And Interpret Electrical Drawings And Schematics: The Job Requires Candidates To Be Able To Read And Interpret Complex Electrical Drawings And Schematics. This Includes Understanding Gis Layouts, Wiring Diagrams, And Control Logic.

  • Strong Communication And Teamwork Skills: Effective Communication And The Ability To Work Well In A Team Are Critical For This Role. Candidates Must Be Able To Collaborate With Other Technicians, Engineers, And Project Managers To Ensure Successful Installation And Commissioning Of Gis Equipment.
