- Develop and implement EHS policies and procedures in alignment with company and regulatory standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with EHS regulations.
- Provide training and education to employees on EHS policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into business processes and decision-making.
- Monitor and analyze EHS data to identify trends, areas for improvement, and ensure continuous improvement.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant laws, regulations, and industry best practices related to EHS.
- Lead incident investigations and root cause analysis to prevent future incidents.
- Develop emergency response plans and conduct drills to ensure preparedness for potential emergencies.
- Manage relationships with external stakeholders, such as regulatory agencies and community organizations.
- Develop and manage budgets for EHS programs and initiatives.
- Communicate regularly with senior management to provide updates on EHS performance, risks, and opportunities.
- Foster a culture of safety and environmental responsibility among all employees.
- Develop and maintain EHS metrics and reporting systems to track progress and communicate performance.
- Lead and mentor a team of EHS professionals to achieve departmental goals.
- Continuously seek out opportunities for improvement and innovation in EHS practices and processes.
Bachelor's Degree In Environmental Science, Occupational Health And Safety, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Similar Role, Preferably In The Manufacturing Or Industrial Sector.
In-Depth Knowledge Of Local, State, And Federal Environmental And Safety Regulations.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills, With The Ability To Effectively Train And Educate Employees On Safety Protocols.
Certifications Such As Certified Safety Professional (Csp) Or Certified Industrial Hygienist (Cih) Are Preferred.
