  1. Optimize and maintain database systems to ensure optimal performance and reliability for customers.
  2. Utilize expertise in Query Tuning for Postgres to identify and resolve database performance issues.
  3. Lead the development and implementation of database tuning strategies and techniques.
  4. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve database-related issues.
  5. Monitor database performance and proactively identify potential problems.
  6. Develop and maintain documentation related to database architecture and tuning processes.
  7. Stay updated with the latest industry trends and best practices in database tuning.
  8. Troubleshoot database issues and provide timely resolutions.
  9. Work closely with developers to optimize database queries and improve application performance.
  10. Participate in database design reviews and provide recommendations for improvements.
  11. Mentor and train junior database engineers on database tuning techniques.
  12. Continuously monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of database tuning strategies and make necessary adjustments.

  • Extensive Experience With Postgres Database Management: A Senior Database Engineer For Query Tuning At Servicenow Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Postgres Database Management, Including Query Optimization, Indexing, And Performance Tuning.

  • Proficiency In Sql And Other Database Languages: The Ideal Candidate Should Be Highly Proficient In Sql And Other Database Languages, With A Strong Understanding Of Database Design Principles And Data Modeling.

  • Advanced Knowledge Of Query Tuning Techniques: Servicenow Is Looking For A Senior Database Engineer With Advanced Knowledge Of Query Tuning Techniques, Including The Ability To Identify And Resolve Complex Database Issues.

  • Experience With Large-Scale Database Environments: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Experience Working With Large-Scale Database Environments, With The Ability To Handle Large Amounts Of Data And Optimize Performance.

  • Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: Servicenow Is Seeking A Senior Database Engineer Who Is Highly Analytical And Has Excellent Problem-Solving Skills To Troubleshoot And Resolve Database Issues. This Role Will Require The Ability To Analyze Complex Data Sets And Identify Areas For Optimization.
