  1. Manage and automate build and release processes for ServiceNow's platform.
  2. Develop and maintain configuration management and release engineering strategies.
  3. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth and timely delivery of high-quality releases.
  4. Monitor and troubleshoot build and release issues, and provide timely resolutions.
  5. Continuously improve and optimize build and release processes to increase efficiency and reduce time-to-market.
  6. Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in configuration management and release engineering.
  7. Ensure compliance with company and industry standards and regulations.
  8. Develop and maintain documentation for build and release processes and procedures.
  9. Mentor and train other team members on configuration management and release engineering techniques.
  10. Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on build and release status and any potential risks or issues.
  11. Identify and implement tools and technologies to enhance build and release processes.
  12. Conduct regular audits to ensure accuracy and completeness of build and release artifacts.
  13. Work closely with development and QA teams to ensure successful integration of code changes into the build and release process.
  14. Participate in release planning and provide input on technical feasibility and timelines.
  15. Troubleshoot and resolve configuration-related issues in testing and production environments.

Job Qualifications

  • Extensive Experience With Software Configuration Management Tools: A Senior Configuration/Release Engineer At Servicenow Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Software Configuration Management And Be Proficient In Tools Such As Git, Svn, And Jenkins.

  • Strong Knowledge Of Release Management Processes: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Release Management Processes And Be Able To Effectively Plan, Coordinate, And Execute Software Releases In A Fast-Paced Environment.

  • Proficiency In Scripting And Automation: As A Senior Configuration/Release Engineer, The Ability To Write Scripts And Automate Processes Is Crucial. Candidates Should Be Well-Versed In Scripting Languages Such As Bash, Python, Or Powershell.

  • In-Depth Understanding Of Agile Methodologies: Servicenow Follows Agile Methodologies For Software Development, And The Senior Configuration/Release Engineer Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Agile Principles And Practices.

  • Experience With Cloud-Based Environments: Servicenow Is A Cloud-Based Platform, And The Senior Configuration/Release Engineer Should Have Experience Working With Cloud Technologies Such As Aws Or Azure. Knowledge Of Containerization Technologies Like Docker And Kubernetes Is Also Highly Desirable.
