- Develop and implement innovative and effective strategies for maintaining the highest level of security and protection for clients' data and systems.
- Lead and manage the information security team, providing guidance and support to ensure the successful implementation of security processes and procedures.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify potential vulnerabilities and risks, and take proactive measures to mitigate them.
- Keep up-to-date with the latest security technologies and trends, and make recommendations for their implementation to enhance the company's security posture.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure that security measures are integrated into all stages of the software development lifecycle.
- Act as a subject matter expert and provide guidance to other team members on information security best practices and standards.
- Conduct regular training and awareness sessions for employees to promote a strong security culture within the company.
- Develop and maintain security policies, procedures, and standards in accordance with industry regulations and best practices.
- Respond to security incidents and conduct investigations to identify the root cause and implement corrective actions.
- Liaise with third-party security vendors and partners to ensure the company's security requirements are met.
- Monitor and analyze security events and logs to identify and respond to potential security threats.
- Collaborate with senior management to develop and maintain a strategic roadmap for information security initiatives.
- Continuously evaluate and improve existing security controls and processes to enhance the overall security posture of the company.
- Prepare and present regular reports and updates on the company's security posture to senior management and stakeholders.
Extensive Experience In Information Security: The Ideal Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 8-10 Years Of Experience In The Field Of Information Security, With A Deep Understanding Of Security Principles, Frameworks, And Best Practices.
Strong Technical Background: A Principal Information Security Engineer At Servicenow Should Have A Strong Technical Background In Areas Such As Network Security, Cloud Security, Application Security, And Data Protection. This Includes A Thorough Understanding Of Encryption, Firewalls, Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems, And Other Security Tools.
Leadership And Management Skills: As A Principal Information Security Engineer, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Security Professionals. Therefore, Strong Leadership And Management Skills Are Essential, Including The Ability To Mentor And Coach Team Members, Manage Projects, And Make Strategic Decisions.
Industry Certifications: The Candidate Should Hold Relevant Industry Certifications Such As Cissp, Cism, Or Cisa, Which Demonstrate Their Knowledge And Expertise In Information Security.
Communication And Collaboration Skills: Effective Communication And Collaboration Are Critical For This Role, As The Principal Information Security Engineer Will Be Required To Liaise With Various Stakeholders, Including Senior Management, It Teams, And External Vendors.
