  1. Dispense medication accurately and efficiently to patients according to their individual needs and prescriptions.
  2. Monitor medication therapy and provide counseling to patients on proper usage, dosage, and potential side effects.
  3. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to review and optimize patient medication regimens.
  4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, including medication profiles and allergic reactions.
  5. Ensure compliance with all state and federal regulations regarding the handling, storage, and dispensing of medications.
  6. Develop and maintain relationships with pharmaceutical representatives to stay informed about new medications and drug therapies.
  7. Educate patients on disease management and prevention, as well as the role of medication in their treatment plan.
  8. Participate in quality assurance programs and assist with medication error prevention and reporting.
  9. Keep abreast of industry developments and changes in pharmaceuticals, and proactively make recommendations for improvements to the pharmacy department.
  10. Train and supervise pharmacy technicians and other support staff to ensure high-quality and efficient operations.
  11. Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper storage and disposal of medications and supplies.
  12. Adhere to patient confidentiality and privacy regulations at all times.
  13. Provide exceptional customer service to patients and their families, addressing any concerns or questions in a timely and professional manner.
  14. Participate in continuing education opportunities to stay current with best practices and advancements in the field of pharmacy.

Job Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy From An Accredited Institution: A Pharmacist At Select Medical Must Have A Minimum Of A Bachelor's Degree In Pharmacy From A Recognized University Or College.

  • Valid State Pharmacy License: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid State Pharmacy License To Practice As A Pharmacist. This Ensures That They Have Met All The Necessary Requirements And Regulations To Dispense Medication.

  • Knowledge Of Pharmaceutical Products And Services: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Strong Understanding Of Different Pharmaceutical Products And Services, Including But Not Limited To Drug Interactions, Dosage, And Side Effects.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Pharmacist, You Will Be Working Closely With Patients, Physicians, And Other Healthcare Professionals. Therefore, Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Essential For Effective Collaboration And Patient Care.

  • Attention To Detail And Accuracy: Accuracy Is Critical When It Comes To Dispensing Medication, And A Pharmacist Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail To Avoid Any Potential Errors That Could Harm A Patient. They Should Also Be Able To Handle And Organize Large Amounts Of Data Accurately.
