  10. Communicate effectively with patients, families, and medical staff to ensure coordinated and comprehensive care.
  11. Follow all policies and procedures accurately and adhere to regulatory guidelines.
  12. Attend trainings and educational sessions to stay updated with the latest healthcare practices and procedures.
  13. Act as an advocate for patients, ensuring their rights and preferences are respected.
  14. Display a strong work ethic, reliability, and a commitment to providing high-quality care.

Job Qualifications

  • High School Diploma Or Equivalent: A Minimum Education Requirement For A Patient Care Technician Job At Select Medical Is A High School Diploma Or Equivalent. This Demonstrates A Basic Level Of Education And Ability To Understand And Follow Instructions.

  • Certified Nursing Assistant (Cna) Certification: Many Patient Care Technician Positions At Select Medical Require Candidates To Hold A Current Cna Certification. This Certification Ensures That Candidates Have Received Training And Have The Necessary Skills To Provide Basic Patient Care.

  • Basic Life Support (Bls) Certification: A Bls Certification Is Required For Many Patient Care Technician Jobs At Select Medical. This Certification Provides Training In Life-Saving Techniques Such As Cpr And Demonstrates The Candidate's Ability To Respond To Emergency Situations.

  • Prior Experience In Healthcare: While Not Always Required, Having Prior Experience In A Healthcare Setting Can Be Beneficial For A Patient Care Technician Job At Select Medical. This Experience Can Include Working As A Nursing Assistant, Medical Assistant, Or Other Healthcare Support Roles.
