- Assist Occupational Therapists in providing patient care: The primary responsibility of an Occupational Therapist Assistant is to work alongside Occupational Therapists to provide high-quality care to patients. This includes assisting with therapy sessions, conducting exercises, and helping patients with daily tasks.
- Maintain patient records: It is the responsibility of the Occupational Therapist Assistant to accurately document patient progress, treatment plans, and any changes in their condition. This information is crucial for the overall care of the patient.
- Attend team meetings and collaborate with other healthcare professionals: Occupational Therapist Assistants are expected to actively participate in team meetings and provide valuable input on patient progress. They may also work with other healthcare professionals, such as doctors and nurses, to coordinate the best treatment plan for the patient.
