- Provide direct patient care under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Assist in the assessment and evaluation of patients' functional abilities and limitations.
- Develop and implement treatment plans in collaboration with the Occupational Therapist.
- Monitor and document patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
- Educate patients and their families on therapeutic techniques and home exercise programs.
- Collaborate with other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards set by the organization and governing bodies.
- Continuously strive for professional growth and development through participation in training and education opportunities.
- Maintain a safe and clean work environment, following all infection control and safety protocols.
- Participate in departmental meetings, case conferences, and other team-based activities.
- Provide excellent customer service and communication to patients, families, and other team members.
- Comply with all organizational policies and procedures.
- Adhere to all legal and regulatory requirements related to occupational therapy practice.
- Uphold the reputation and values of Select Medical and promote a positive work culture.
Associate's Degree In Occupational Therapy Assistant Program From An Accredited Institution.
Valid Certification And License As An Occupational Therapy Assistant In The State Where Employment Is Located.
Minimum Of 1 Year Experience Working In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In Rehabilitation Or Skilled Nursing Facility.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Work Effectively With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Team Members.
Knowledge Of Current Evidence-Based Practices And Techniques In Occupational Therapy, As Well As Ability To Adapt Treatment Plans To Meet Individual Patient Needs.
