  1. Perform various laboratory tests and procedures accurately and efficiently.
  2. Collect and process patient samples in a timely manner while maintaining quality control.
  3. Prepare and maintain laboratory equipment and supplies for testing.
  4. Record and report laboratory results to medical staff and patients.
  5. Follow established protocols and safety procedures to ensure a safe working environment.
  6. Maintain strict confidentiality of patient information and laboratory records.
  7. Troubleshoot and resolve any technical or equipment issues that may arise during testing.
  8. Assist in training and mentoring new laboratory staff members.
  9. Maintain accurate and detailed records of all tests performed.
  10. Communicate effectively with medical staff, patients, and other team members to ensure quality patient care.
  11. Adhere to all regulatory requirements and standards in the laboratory.
  12. Continuously seek to improve processes and procedures to increase efficiency and accuracy.
  13. Monitor and maintain inventory levels of laboratory supplies and equipment.
  14. Participate in quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
  15. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide the best possible patient care.
  16. Stay up to date with new technologies and advancements in the medical field to improve laboratory practices.
  17. Provide excellent customer service to patients and their families, ensuring their needs are met in a timely and professional manner.
  18. Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures, including infection control and safety protocols.
  19. Attend regular staff meetings and training sessions to stay informed and up to date on new procedures and protocols.
  20. Maintain a positive and professional attitude while representing the organization to patients and external contacts.

Job Qualifications
  • Certification Or Degree In Medical Laboratory Science: A Medical Lab Assistant At Select Medical Should Possess A Relevant Certification Or Degree In Medical Laboratory Science From An Accredited Institution.

  • Knowledge Of Laboratory Procedures And Equipment: The Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Laboratory Procedures And Equipment Used In A Medical Setting, Such As Centrifuges, Microscopes, And Spectrophotometers.

  • Attention To Detail: As A Medical Lab Assistant, Attention To Detail Is Crucial In Accurately Performing Tests And Recording Results. The Candidate Should Be Able To Follow Procedures And Protocols Precisely.

  • Ability To Work In A Fast-Paced Environment: Select Medical Is A Busy Facility, And The Candidate Should Be Able To Handle A High Volume Of Specimens And Work Efficiently In A Fast-Paced Environment.
