- Assist in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for patients under the supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
- Provide hands-on therapy interventions and exercises to help patients improve their physical, cognitive, and emotional abilities.
- Monitor and document patient progress, including any changes in condition or response to treatment.
- Collaborate with the Occupational Therapist and other members of the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive and effective patient care.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding their treatment plan and progress.
- Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols to maintain a safe and clean treatment environment.
- Keep up-to-date with industry advancements and new treatment techniques to continuously improve patient care.
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient records and billing information.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues to promote a positive and supportive treatment environment.
- Demonstrate professionalism and ethical behavior in all interactions with patients and colleagues.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to the development of treatment plans and goals.
- Adhere to all organizational policies and procedures to ensure compliance and quality of care.

Completion Of An Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program: Candidates For This Position Must Have Successfully Completed An Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program, Demonstrating A Strong Foundation In Occupational Therapy Principles And Techniques.
State Licensure: A Valid State License As An Occupational Therapy Assistant Is Required For This Position. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The Necessary Educational And Clinical Standards To Practice In The State.
Experience In A Healthcare Setting: Previous Experience Working In A Healthcare Setting, Preferably In A Rehabilitation Or Acute Care Facility, Is Highly Desirable For This Role. This Will Demonstrate The Candidate's Knowledge Of Clinical Procedures And Ability To Work With Patients.
Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: As A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, Effective Communication With Patients, Families, And Other Healthcare Professionals Is Crucial. Candidates Should Possess Strong Verbal And Written Communication Skills, As Well As The Ability To Build Rapport With Patients.
Cpr Certification: Select Medical Requires All Employees To Be Certified In Cpr. This Certification Ensures That The Candidate Is Knowledgeable In Emergency Procedures And Can Respond Quickly In Case Of An Emergency During Patient Treatment.
