
Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant

- Provide high-quality occupational therapy services to patients under the supervision of licensed therapists.
- Work collaboratively with a team of therapists to develop and implement treatment plans for patients.
- Maintain accurate and thorough documentation of patient progress and treatment interventions.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and caregivers regarding treatment plans and progress.
- Continuously assess and modify treatment plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients.
- Adhere to all ethical and professional standards set forth by the American Occupational Therapy Association.
- Stay up-to-date on current research and techniques in occupational therapy to continuously improve patient care.
- Ensure a safe and clean treatment environment for patients and staff.
- Demonstrate empathy and compassion towards patients and their families.
- Participate in team meetings and contribute ideas for improving patient care and overall facility operations.
- Maintain confidentiality of patient information and follow all HIPAA regulations.
- Attend continuing education courses and workshops to maintain COTA certification and improve skills.
- Serve as a positive role model for colleagues and maintain a professional demeanor at all times.
- Comply with all facility policies and procedures.

Completion Of An Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program: A Qualified Candidate For A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (Cota) Position At Select Medical Must Have Completed An Accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant Program From A Recognized Institution.
State Licensure: The Candidate Must Possess A Valid License From The State They Wish To Practice In. This Ensures That The Candidate Has Met The State's Requirements For Competency And Ethical Standards.
Cpr Certification: Due To The Nature Of The Job, It Is Essential For A Cota To Have Current Cpr Certification. This Ensures That The Candidate Is Prepared To Handle Emergencies That May Arise While Working With Patients.
