Your role will be crucial in assisting our Occupational Therapists in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans for each patient, focusing on improving their daily living skills and maximizing their functional abilities.To excel in this role, you must possess a current certification as an Occupational Therapy Assistant and have a minimum of 1 year of experience in a similar setting. You should also have a strong understanding of therapy techniques and be able to effectively communicate with patients and their families.   1. Provide direct assistance to Occupational Therapists in developing and implementing personalized treatment plans for patients.
  2. Collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality care and rehabilitation services to patients.
  3. Assist patients in regaining their independence and achieving their full potential through therapy techniques and exercises.
  4. Communicate effectively with patients and their families, providing education and support throughout the rehabilitation process.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient progress and treatment plans.
  6. Utilize knowledge of anatomy and physiology to help patients improve their daily living skills and maximize their functional abilities.
  7. Monitor and report any changes or progress in a patient's condition to the Occupational Therapist.
  8. Adhere to all safety and infection control policies and procedures to ensure a safe and healthy environment for patients and staff.
  9. Continuously seek opportunities for professional development and stay updated on the latest advances in occupational therapy.
  10. Demonstrate compassion, empathy, and patience in working with patients who may have physical, emotional, or cognitive challenges.
  11. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards in all interactions with patients and their families.
  12. Handle administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, maintaining patient records, and ordering necessary equipment or supplies.
  13. Foster a positive and supportive environment for patients, promoting their physical and emotional well-being.
  14. Represent the organization with professionalism and uphold its values and mission in all interactions with patients, families, and colleagues.
  15. Continuously strive to improve patient outcomes and contribute to the overall success of the therapy team.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree In Occupational Therapy Assistant Program From An Accredited Institution.

  • Current Certification From The National Board For Certification In Occupational Therapy (Nbcot).

  • Valid State License To Practice As An Occupational Therapy Assistant.

  • Minimum Of 1 Year Of Experience In A Clinical Setting, Preferably In A Rehabilitation Or Acute Care Setting.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Effectively With Patients, Families, And Interdisciplinary Healthcare Team Members.
