  1. Conduct occupational therapy assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for patients.
  2. Administer therapeutic activities and exercises to improve patients' fine motor skills, coordination, and mobility.
  3. Educate patients and their families on appropriate home exercises and activities to continue progress outside of therapy sessions.
  4. Communicate regularly with other members of the healthcare team to coordinate patient care and ensure comprehensive treatment.
  5. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, documenting progress and any changes in treatment plans.
  6. Monitor and report any changes in patients' conditions or responses to therapy to the supervising occupational therapist.
  7. Adhere to all ethical and professional standards, as well as company policies and procedures.
  8. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge.
  9. Collaborate with patients, families, and caregivers to establish goals and expectations for therapy.
  10. Maintain a safe and clean therapy environment and ensure equipment is properly used and maintained.
  11. Continuously assess and adjust treatment plans based on patients' progress and changing needs.
  12. Provide emotional support and encouragement to patients throughout their therapy journey.
  13. Uphold a positive and professional attitude towards patients, colleagues, and management at all times.
  14. Adhere to all safety protocols and maintain a safe working environment for patients and staff.
  15. Foster a culture of teamwork and collaboration within the therapy department and across the organization.

Job Qualifications
  • Associate's Degree In Occupational Therapy Assistant Program: A Minimum Of An Associate's Degree In Occupational Therapy Assistant Program From An Accredited Institution Is Required For This Position.

  • State Licensure And Certification: The Candidate Must Hold A Valid State License As A Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (Cota) And Must Be Certified By The National Board For Certification In Occupational Therapy (Nbcot).

  • Clinical Experience: Prior Experience Working As An Occupational Therapy Assistant In A Clinical Setting Is Preferred. This Includes Experience With Adults And Geriatric Patients In A Rehabilitation Or Skilled Nursing Facility.

  • Knowledge Of Occupational Therapy Principles And Techniques: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Occupational Therapy Principles And Techniques, As Well As The Ability To Implement Treatment Plans Designed By A Licensed Occupational Therapist.

  • Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills: This Role Requires Frequent Communication With Patients, Family Members, And Other Healthcare Professionals. The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills To Effectively Work With A Diverse Patient Population And Interdisciplinary Team.
