Merchandising Planner

Scotch & Soda Co. is seeking an experienced and organized Merchandising Planner to join our dynamic team. Working in close collaboration with the buying and design teams, the Merchandising Planner will be responsible for planning and managing the creation of our innovative product range. This is an excellent opportunity for a highly organized individual who is passionate about working in the fashion apparel and accessories industry.The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, exceptional communication skills, and an understanding of the retail market. The successful candidate must also have a minimum of three years’ experience in a similar role, and a degree in Merchandising, Retail, or a related field. Responsibilities:

1. Plan and manage the creation of product ranges in line with the buying and design teams.
2. Monitor incoming product orders and ensure accuracy of product assortments.
3. Analyze current product trends and create forecasts for upcoming product launches.
4. Analyze retail market and identify opportunities for product growth and expansion.
5. Monitor and track product performance to ensure profitability and identify areas of improvement.
6. Prepare comprehensive sales reports to track inventory and sales performance.
7. Collaborate with the buying and design teams to ensure product assortment is up to date and meets customer needs.
8. Negotiate with vendors to secure the best pricing and terms.
9. Develop and implement creative merchandising strategies to increase sales.
10. Work with store teams to ensure product is accurately merchandised and customer service is top-notch.

Scotch and Soda is a Dutch fashion retail company. In March 2023 Scotch & Soda was acquired by the U.S. brand management firm Bluestar Alliance. Scotch & Soda was founded as a menswear label in the 1980s. In 2011 Kellwood and Sun Capital bought the company. At the time Scotch & Soda was an international brand.
