- Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of US customs and trade compliance laws and regulations.
- Ensure company compliance with all US customs and trade regulations.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure compliance with US customs and trade laws and regulations.
- Monitor and track changes in customs and trade regulations and communicate updates to relevant stakeholders.
- Provide guidance and training to employees on customs and trade compliance requirements.
- Manage and oversee all customs and trade compliance activities, including import and export documentation, duty drawback programs, and customs audits.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with customs and trade regulations for all international transactions.
- Develop and maintain relationships with customs officials and other relevant government agencies.
- Conduct internal audits to identify any potential compliance issues and implement corrective actions.
- Stay up-to-date on industry best practices and continuously drive improvements in customs and trade compliance processes.
- Communicate with senior management on the status of customs and trade compliance and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Ensure all necessary permits, licenses, and registrations are obtained and maintained for international trade activities.
- Act as the point of contact for all customs and trade compliance inquiries and requests.
- Stay informed about global trade trends and developments that may impact the company's operations.
- Represent the company in meetings and negotiations with customs officials and other government agencies.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation related to customs and trade compliance.
- Manage and monitor the company's customs and trade compliance budget.
- Train and supervise a team of customs and trade compliance specialists.
- Ensure the company's compliance with anti-bribery and corruption laws in relation to international trade activities.
- Identify and report any potential violations of customs and trade regulations and implement corrective actions.
Bachelor's Degree In International Trade, Business Management, Or A Related Field.
Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In A Customs And Trade Compliance Role, Preferably In The Manufacturing Or Technology Industry.
Strong Knowledge Of Us Customs And Trade Regulations, Including Import/Export Laws, Trade Agreements, And Tariff Classifications.
Experience In Developing And Implementing Compliance Programs And Procedures To Ensure Adherence To Regulations And Mitigate Risk.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills, With The Ability To Work Collaboratively With Internal Teams And External Stakeholders Such As Customs Brokers And Government Officials.
