Fabricate and maintain precision tools and dies to support production of high-quality products.
Perform accurate measurements and calculations to ensure precise tool and die construction.
Troubleshoot and identify any issues with tools and dies, and implement effective solutions.
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop and improve tooling designs.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, following safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Operate a variety of machine tools, such as lathes, milling machines, and grinders, to produce and repair tooling components.
Read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints to create or modify tooling components.
Conduct regular maintenance and repairs on existing tools and dies, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
Continuously improve and innovate processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.
Keep accurate records of all tooling and die maintenance and repairs.
Follow company quality standards and ensure all tools and dies meet specifications.
Stay current with industry trends and advancements in tooling and die making techniques.
Collaborate with other departments to ensure production schedules are met.
Train and mentor junior tool and die makers, sharing knowledge and best practices.
Adhere to company policies and procedures, including maintaining confidentiality of company information.
Represent the company in a professional and positive manner at all times.

Job Qualifications

Knowledge Of Precision Machining: A Tool & Die Making Operations Job At Schneider Electric Requires A Thorough Understanding Of Precision Machining Techniques, Including Cnc Milling, Drilling, And Turning.
Experience With Cad/Cam Software: Proficiency In Computer-Aided Design And Manufacturing Software Is Essential For Creating Accurate And Complex Designs For Tool And Die Components.
Strong Problem-Solving Skills: Tool And Die Making Often Involves Troubleshooting And Finding Solutions To Complex Problems. Candidates Should Have Strong Critical Thinking Skills And The Ability To Think Creatively To Overcome Challenges.
Attention To Detail: Tool And Die Making Requires Extreme Precision And Attention To Detail In Order To Produce High-Quality, Functional Components. Candidates Must Have A Keen Eye For Detail And Be Able To Work With Extremely Tight Tolerances.
Knowledge Of Materials And Processes: Candidates Should Have A Working Knowledge Of Various Raw Materials Used In Tool And Die Making, As Well As The Different Manufacturing Processes Involved. This Includes Heat Treating, Welding, And Surface Finishing Techniques.
