Oversee all aspects of the shipping department, including managing staff, organizing workflows, and ensuring efficient operations.
Develop and maintain shipping schedules to ensure timely delivery of products to customers.
Collaborate with other departments to coordinate shipping activities and resolve any issues that may arise.
Monitor inventory levels and communicate with procurement team to ensure adequate stock levels are maintained.
Implement and maintain shipping policies and procedures to ensure compliance with company standards and regulations.
Train and mentor shipping team members to ensure they are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their duties efficiently.
Manage the shipping budget and identify areas for cost savings through process improvements.
Maintain accurate records of all shipping activities, including tracking shipments and producing shipping reports.
Ensure all shipments are packaged and labeled correctly to prevent damage and comply with shipping regulations.
Communicate with customers to provide updates on shipping status and resolve any delivery-related issues.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and developments to continuously improve shipping processes and procedures.
Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the shipping team, promoting teamwork and accountability.
Conduct performance evaluations of shipping team members and provide feedback for their professional development.
Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for all shipping personnel.
Continuously monitor and improve shipping processes to increase efficiency and reduce costs.

Job Qualifications

Experience In Logistics And Supply Chain Management: A Shipping Supervisor At Schneider Electric Should Have A Minimum Of 3-5 Years Of Experience In Logistics And Supply Chain Management, With A Proven Track Record Of Managing Shipping Operations Efficiently.
Strong Leadership And Interpersonal Skills: As A Shipping Supervisor, The Candidate Must Have Excellent Leadership Skills To Effectively Manage A Team Of Shipping Staff. They Should Also Possess Strong Interpersonal Skills To Foster Positive Relationships With Team Members And Other Departments.
Knowledge Of Shipping Regulations And Procedures: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Domestic And International Shipping Regulations And Procedures To Ensure Compliance And Timely Delivery Of Goods.
Attention To Detail And Problem-Solving Abilities: A Shipping Supervisor Must Be Detail-Oriented And Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Identify And Resolve Shipping-Related Issues Quickly And Efficiently.
Proficiency In Shipping Software And Systems: The Candidate Should Be Well-Versed In Shipping Software And Systems, Such As Sap, To Track Shipments, Manage Inventory, And Generate Reports. Knowledge Of Warehouse Management Systems (Wms) Is Also Preferred.
