Design and develop plastic tooling solutions for the company's products.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure tooling solutions meet product requirements.
Conduct research and stay updated on industry advancements in plastics and tooling.
Troubleshoot and provide solutions for any tooling-related issues.
Drive continuous improvement efforts in tooling design and development processes.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Train and mentor junior engineers on tooling design and development.
Manage and maintain tooling equipment and resources.
Communicate and collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source tooling materials and components.
Stay updated on market trends and developments in tooling technology.
Support cost reduction initiatives through efficient tooling design and development.
Adhere to project timelines and budget constraints.
Participate in product design reviews to provide insights and suggestions for tooling improvements.
Attend conferences and seminars to expand knowledge and network within the plastics and tooling industry.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Knowledge Of Plastics Manufacturing Processes: A Senior Tooling Engineer Must Have A Deep Understanding Of Various Plastics Manufacturing Processes, Including Injection Molding, Extrusion, And Blow Molding. They Should Also Be Familiar With The Latest Advancements And Technologies In The Field.
Strong Problem-Solving Skills: As A Senior Role, The Tooling Engineer Must Have Exceptional Problem-Solving Skills To Identify And Address Complex Technical Issues Related To Plastics Tooling. They Should Be Able To Analyze Data, Troubleshoot Problems, And Propose Effective Solutions.
Experience In Tool Design And Development: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Tool Design And Development For Plastics Manufacturing. They Should Be Well-Versed In Cad Software And Have A Proven Track Record Of Designing And Developing High-Quality Plastic Molds And Dies.
Project Management Skills: Senior Tooling Engineers Often Lead Multiple Projects Simultaneously, So They Must Possess Excellent Project Management Skills. This Includes The Ability To Prioritize Tasks, Manage Resources, And Meet Project Deadlines.
Leadership And Communication Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Team, The Tooling Engineer Must Have Strong Leadership Skills And Be Able To Effectively Communicate With Cross-Functional Teams. They Should Also Be Able To Mentor And Provide Guidance To Junior Engineers And Technicians.
