Develop and implement a clear vision and strategy for project design that aligns with the company's goals and values.
Lead and manage a team of project designers, providing guidance, support, and mentorship to ensure their success and growth.
Drive innovation and sustainability in project design, staying up-to-date with industry trends and advancements.
Manage and oversee the entire project design process, from conception to execution, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineers, architects, and contractors, to develop comprehensive and effective project designs.
Conduct thorough research and analysis to identify potential risks and challenges and develop contingency plans to mitigate them.
Foster a culture of creativity, collaboration, and continuous improvement within the project design team.
Act as a key spokesperson for the company's project design capabilities, representing the organization at industry events and conferences.
Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in project design.
Monitor and manage project design budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their needs and providing solutions that exceed their expectations.
Continuously monitor and evaluate project design processes and make recommendations for improvements.
Mentor and train team members on project design best practices and new technologies.
Act as a thought leader in the field of project design, driving conversations and initiatives to promote sustainability and innovation.
Maintain a deep understanding of the company's products and services, and utilize this knowledge to develop effective project design solutions.

Job Qualifications

Extensive Experience In Project Management: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 10 Years Of Experience In Managing Large-Scale Projects, Preferably In The Field Of Electrical Engineering Or Building Automation. They Should Have A Proven Track Record Of Successfully Delivering Projects On Time And Within Budget.
Strong Technical Background: A Principal Project Design Leader Should Have A Deep Understanding Of Project Design Principles And Methodologies. They Should Possess A Strong Technical Background In Electrical Engineering, Building Automation, Or Related Fields. This Will Enable Them To Effectively Guide And Mentor The Project Design Team.
Leadership Skills: As A Principal Project Design Leader, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Leading And Managing A Team Of Project Designers. They Should Have Excellent Leadership Skills, Including The Ability To Motivate And Inspire Team Members, Delegate Tasks, And Resolve Conflicts.
Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: The Ideal Candidate Should Have Excellent Communication Skills, Both Written And Verbal. They Should Be Able To Clearly Communicate Project Requirements, Goals, And Progress To Stakeholders, Team Members, And Clients. In Addition, They Should Possess Strong Interpersonal Skills To Build And Maintain Relationships With Clients, Vendors, And Team Members.
Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: A Principal Project Design Leader Should Have A Strategic Mindset And Be Able To Think Critically And Analytically. They Should Be Able To Identify Potential Project Risks And Develop Contingency Plans To Mitigate Them. They Should Also Possess Strong Problem-Solving Abilities To Overcome Any Challenges That May Arise During The Project Lifecycle.
