- Develop and implement quality management systems to ensure products meet established standards and comply with regulatory requirements.
- Monitor manufacturing processes to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions to maintain high-quality standards.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to evaluate the effectiveness of quality systems and identify areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain quality control procedures and processes.
- Train and educate employees on quality standards and procedures to ensure understanding and compliance.
- Investigate and resolve customer complaints related to product quality, providing timely and effective solutions.
- Analyze data and trends to identify areas for improvement and implement continuous improvement initiatives.
- Collaborate with suppliers to ensure they meet quality standards and address any issues that may arise.
- Stay up-to-date with industry standards and regulations to ensure compliance and make recommendations for process improvements.
- Communicate and report on quality metrics and performance to company leadership and stakeholders.
- Participate in new product development and launch processes to ensure quality standards are met from the beginning.
- Act as a subject matter expert on quality systems and processes, providing guidance and support to other team members as needed.
- Maintain accurate and organized records and documentation related to quality management systems.
Bachelor's Degree In Engineering Or A Related Field: A Strong Foundation In Engineering Principles And Understanding Of Manufacturing Processes Is Essential For A Quality Engineer In The Manufacturing Industry.
Quality Management System (Qms) Experience: Experience In Implementing And Maintaining A Qms, Such As Iso 9001, Is A Key Qualification For A Manufacturing Quality Engineer. This Shows The Ability To Ensure Quality Standards Are Met And Processes Are In Place To Continuously Improve Quality.
Six Sigma Or Lean Methodology Experience: Knowledge And Experience With Six Sigma Or Lean Methodologies Is Highly Desirable For A Manufacturing Quality Engineer. This Demonstrates The Ability To Identify And Eliminate Waste, Reduce Defects, And Improve Overall Quality And Efficiency.
Strong Analytical And Problem-Solving Skills: A Manufacturing Quality Engineer Must Possess Strong Analytical Skills To Identify And Troubleshoot Quality Issues. They Should Be Able To Collect And Analyze Data, Identify Root Causes, And Implement Effective Solutions To Improve Quality.
