Lead and manage localization projects from initiation to completion, ensuring timely and successful delivery within budget and scope.
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and budgets, and ensure that project objectives are aligned with company goals.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify project requirements and deliverables, and ensure effective communication and coordination throughout the project lifecycle.
Conduct market research and analysis to identify localization strategies and opportunities for new markets.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts to ensure cost-effective and high-quality localization services.
Ensure compliance with regulatory and legal requirements for each market.
Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and issues that may impact project timelines and deliverables.
Monitor project progress, provide regular updates to stakeholders, and implement corrective actions as needed.
Provide leadership and guidance to project teams, fostering a collaborative and results-driven work environment.
Stay current with industry trends and best practices related to localization processes and project management.
Support the development and implementation of localization strategies to drive business growth and expansion in new markets.
Mentor and train team members on localization project management processes and procedures.
Continuously improve localization processes and workflows to increase efficiency and effectiveness.
Represent the company at industry events and conferences to network and promote localization initiatives.
Uphold the company's values and promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and teamwork.

Job Qualifications

Proficiency In Multiple Languages: As A Localization Project Leader At Schneider Electric, The Candidate Must Possess A High Level Of Proficiency In At Least Two Languages In Addition To English. This Is Necessary For Effectively Communicating With Different Stakeholders And Overseeing The Translation Process.
Project Management Skills: The Candidate Should Have Strong Project Management Skills, Including The Ability To Plan, Organize, And Prioritize Tasks, Set Timelines, And Manage Resources. This Is Crucial For Ensuring That Localization Projects Are Completed Within Budget And On Time.
Knowledge Of Localization Tools And Processes: A Good Understanding Of Localization Tools And Processes Such As Translation Memory, Terminology Management, And Quality Assurance Is Essential For The Efficient Execution Of Localization Projects. The Candidate Should Be Familiar With Industry-Standard Software And Be Able To Troubleshoot Any Issues That May Arise.
Cultural Sensitivity: Schneider Electric Operates In Multiple Countries And Regions, And Its Products And Services Are Used By People From Diverse Cultural Backgrounds. The Candidate Must Be Culturally Sensitive And Possess A Deep Understanding Of How Cultural Differences Can Impact Localization Projects. This Includes Being Aware Of Cultural Nuances, Preferences, And Sensitivities That May Affect The Translation And Localization Of Content.
Leadership And Team Management Skills: As A Localization Project Leader, The Candidate Will Be Responsible For Managing A Team Of Translators, Editors, And Other Professionals Involved In The Localization Process. Strong Leadership And Team Management Skills Are Required To Motivate Team Members, Resolve Conflicts, And Ensure That Everyone Is Working Towards The Same Goal Of Delivering High-Quality Localized Content.
