  1. Develop and implement effective strategies to shape policies that promote international trade and drive economic growth for Schneider Electric.
  2. Stay updated on current tax laws and regulations and provide expert analysis on their potential impact on the company.
  3. Build strong relationships with government officials, industry associations, and other stakeholders to advocate for policies that align with Schneider Electric's values and business objectives.
  4. Represent the company in meetings, hearings, and other events related to trade and tax policy, effectively communicating the company's position and advocating for its interests.
  5. Conduct research and analysis on trade and tax policy issues, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
  6. Collaborate with internal teams, including legal, finance, and global government relations, to ensure alignment and consistency in policy advocacy efforts.
  7. Monitor and track legislative and regulatory developments related to trade and tax policy, providing timely updates and alerts to the company.
  8. Develop and maintain a strong network of contacts within relevant government agencies and trade associations to stay informed about key policy developments.
  9. Prepare and present reports, presentations, and other materials to senior management and other stakeholders on trade and tax policy issues and their potential impact on the company.
  10. Proactively identify opportunities to engage with policymakers and advocate for policies that support Schneider Electric's business objectives.
  11. Stay updated on global trade and tax policy trends and developments, providing insights and recommendations to the company on potential risks and opportunities.
  12. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards related to government relations activities.

Job Qualifications
  • Strong Understanding Of Trade And Tax Policies: A Successful Government Relations Manager In Trade And Tax Policy Must Possess A Deep Knowledge Of Federal, State, And Local Trade And Tax Policies, As Well As A Thorough Understanding Of How These Policies Affect Schneider Electric's Business Operations.

  • Experience Working With Government Agencies: This Role Requires Experience In Engaging And Building Relationships With Key Governmental Agencies, Such As The U.s. Department Of Commerce And The Internal Revenue Service, To Advocate For Schneider Electric's Interests And Ensure Compliance With Trade And Tax Regulations.

  • Excellent Communication And Advocacy Skills: The Government Relations Manager Must Have Exceptional Communication And Advocacy Skills, Both Written And Verbal, To Effectively Convey Schneider Electric's Positions And Priorities To Government Officials, Industry Groups, And Other Stakeholders.

  • Strategic Thinking And Problem-Solving Abilities: The Ability To Anticipate Potential Issues And Develop Effective Strategies To Address Them Is Crucial For Success In This Role. The Government Relations Manager Must Be A Strategic Thinker And Possess Strong Problem-Solving Skills To Navigate Complex Trade And Tax Policy Issues.

  • Experience In The Energy Or Technology Industry: Familiarity With The Energy Or Technology Industry Is Highly Desirable For This Role, As It Will Provide A Strong Foundation For Understanding Schneider Electric's Business And The Regulatory Landscape In Which It Operates. Additionally, Experience In A Similar Role Or In Government Affairs Is A Plus.
