Job Description

We at Schlumberger are looking for an experienced and dedicated IP Attorney to join our growing legal team. This role is a perfect opportunity for a dynamic professional who wants to make a real impact in a thriving legal environment.The IP Attorney will be responsible for providing legal advice on a variety of IP-related topics, from transactional matters such as licensing and due diligence activities to litigations and disputes. The ideal candidate should be able to work independently and be comfortable in a fast-paced and challenging environment.The successful applicant must have a Juris Doctor or equivalent degree from an accredited law school and be a member of a state bar in good standing. They must possess a minimum of four years of experience in the practice of patent law, as well as a strong understanding of intellectual property laws and statutes. Additionally, the ideal candidate should have a track record of successful intellectual property transactions and litigation. Responsibilities:

  1. Provide legal advice on a variety of IP-related topics, including licensing, due diligence activities, litigations, and disputes.
  2. Work independently and be comfortable in a fast-paced and challenging environment.
  3. Possess a minimum of four years of experience in the practice of patent law, as well as a strong understanding of intellectual property laws and statutes.
  4. Have a track record of successful intellectual property transactions and litigation.
  5. Participate in all relevant legal meetings and conferences with clients and other stakeholders.
  6. Research and analyze various legal issues and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
  7. Draft, review, and revise various legal documents, including contracts, licenses, and other related documents.
  8. Handle discovery and document review related to litigation matters.
  9. Assist in the development of IP strategies and policies.
  10. Be willing to travel when necessary.
