  1. Conduct thorough research and analysis of tax laws and regulations related to mergers and acquisitions.
  2. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to provide tax support and guidance on complex global projects.
  3. Develop and implement tax strategies to minimize tax liabilities and optimize business opportunities.
  4. Review and analyze financial data to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws and regulations.
  5. Communicate complex tax concepts to non-tax professionals and stakeholders in a clear and concise manner.
  6. Stay up-to-date with changes in tax laws and regulations and proactively identify potential risks or opportunities for the company.
  7. Assist in the due diligence process for potential mergers and acquisitions, identifying any potential tax implications.
  8. Prepare and review tax returns and other tax-related documents.
  9. Identify and implement process improvements to streamline tax processes and increase efficiency.
  10. Serve as a subject matter expert on tax matters and provide guidance and support to colleagues within the company.
  11. Maintain accurate and organized tax records and documentation.
  12. Collaborate with external tax advisors and consultants as needed.
  13. Adhere to all legal and ethical standards related to tax practices.
  14. Act as a brand ambassador for SAP, representing the company in a professional and positive manner.

Job Qualifications
  • Extensive Knowledge Of Tax Laws And Regulations: A Tax Specialist For Mergers & Acquisition Tax At Sap Must Possess A Deep Understanding Of Both Local And International Tax Laws And Regulations, Including Those Related To Mergers And Acquisitions. This Will Ensure Accurate And Compliant Tax Planning And Reporting For The Company.

  • Experience With M&A Transactions: The Ideal Candidate Should Have A Minimum Of 5 Years Of Experience In Tax-Related Roles, With A Focus On Mergers And Acquisitions. They Should Be Well-Versed In All Aspects Of M&A Transactions, Including Due Diligence, Structuring, And Integration, To Effectively Advise On Tax Implications.

  • Strong Analytical Skills: As A Tax Specialist, One Must Have Strong Analytical Skills To Evaluate Complex Tax Scenarios And Propose Efficient And Effective Solutions. This Includes The Ability To Interpret Financial And Legal Documents, Identify Tax Risks, And Provide Recommendations To Mitigate Them.

  • Excellent Communication And Interpersonal Skills: Collaboration Is Crucial In This Role As A Tax Specialist Will Work Closely With Cross-Functional Teams, Including Legal, Finance, And Hr. Strong Communication And Interpersonal Skills Are Necessary To Effectively Communicate Tax-Related Matters To Both Technical And Non-Technical Stakeholders.

  • Ability To Adapt To A Fast-Paced Environment: Sap Is A Dynamic And Fast-Paced Company, And The Tax Specialist Must Be Able To Thrive In Such An Environment. This Includes The Ability To Manage Multiple Projects Simultaneously, Meet Tight Deadlines, And Adapt To Changing Business Needs. Strong Time Management And Organizational Skills Are Essential For Success In This Role.
