- Develop and implement security strategies and processes to protect SAP's Sovereign Cloud data and infrastructure.
- Conduct regular security assessments and audits to identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement security controls for new products and services.
- Monitor and analyze security events and incidents, and respond to them in a timely and effective manner.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices, and make recommendations for improvement.
- Act as a subject matter expert on security-related matters, providing guidance and support to other team members.
- Participate in the development and maintenance of security policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conduct security training and awareness sessions for employees to promote a culture of security within the organization.
- Work closely with customers and partners to understand their security requirements and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards.
- Lead and participate in security incident response and investigations, and provide recommendations for remediation and prevention.
- Continuously monitor and assess the effectiveness of security controls, and make adjustments as needed.
- Participate in the development and testing of disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Communicate security-related issues and updates to stakeholders, including management, customers, and partners.
- Mentor and coach junior team members, and contribute to their professional growth and development.
- Maintain accurate documentation and reports related to security activities and incidents.
Extensive Experience In Cloud Security: A Strong Candidate For This Role Should Have At Least 5 Years Of Experience In Designing And Implementing Security Solutions For Cloud Environments, Preferably In A Large Enterprise Setting. They Should Be Well-Versed In The Latest Cloud Security Best Practices And Have A Deep Understanding Of Different Cloud Platforms And Services.
Proficiency In Security Tools And Technologies: The Candidate Should Have A Strong Technical Background And Be Proficient In Using A Variety Of Security Tools And Technologies, Such As Firewalls, Intrusion Detection And Prevention Systems, Vulnerability Scanners, And Encryption Tools. They Should Also Be Familiar With Cloud-Specific Security Tools, Such As Iam (Identity And Access Management) And Cspm (Cloud Security Posture Management) Solutions.
Knowledge Of Compliance And Regulatory Requirements: A Sovereign Cloud Senior Security Engineer Should Have A Thorough Understanding Of Compliance And Regulatory Requirements For Cloud Environments, Including Industry Standards Such As Iso 27001 And Gdpr. They Should Be Able To Design And Implement Security Controls That Meet These Requirements And Ensure That The Organization Remains Compliant.
Strong Communication And Leadership Skills: As A Senior Member Of The Security Team, The Candidate Should Possess Excellent Communication And Leadership Skills. They Should Be Able To Effectively Communicate Complex Security Concepts To Non-Technical Stakeholders, Lead And Mentor Junior Team Members, And Collaborate With Cross-Functional Teams To Implement Security Solutions.
Innovative And Proactive Approach To Security: The Ideal Candidate Should Be A Strategic Thinker With A Proactive And Innovative Approach To Security.
